Alles Tire and Truck, Inc. is owned & operated by Mike & Kathy Alles.

Mike Alles was selling tire casings for recapping and someone asked him about getting into the tire business. Cars will always need tires and should be a good business to get into. With that said, the Alles Tire store opened in Grand Haven, MI in February, 1972. With many long days of work, the business started to grow. New customers started to come in and, over the years, their kids and now their grandkids are coming to Alles Tire and Auto service.

After several years in Grand Haven, they had the opportunity to purchase a tire store in Spring Lake, MI. In February, 1998, Alles Tire of Spring Lake became a reality. Soon after thought, a severe storm blew the roof off the building. Alles Tire then built and moved to its current location in February, 1999.

Over the years, Alles Tire has seen many changes in the automotive industry. One of the biggest changes was from bias-ply tires to radial tires. Tire life and safety has greatly improved. Other changes have been disc brakes, better suspensions, front wheel drive and electronics. Back in 1972, who would have ever thought cars would be computer-run, could start remotely, or have a built-in GPS navigation system.

With on-going training, our mechanics remain on top of the curve, even with the new dual-fuel cars!

With ASE and State Certified Technicians, Alles Tire also does Wheel Alignments, Brakes, Suspension repairs, Check Engine Diagnostics and repair, Air Conditioning, Electrical, Oil changes, Transmission services.. And so much more.

Mike was an active race car driver in the vintage auto racing circuit for many years. He drove a very competitive '65 Corvette at many tracks; including Grattan, Gingerman, & the Grand Rapids Grand Prix in Michigan. Outside Michigan, he raced at Road America, Road Atlanta, and in Steamboat Springs, CO.

In addition to business and car racing, Mike and Kathy remain dedicated to humanitarian aid efforts by working in hurricane & flood areas in the U.S. For many years, they delivered supplies to a mission in Agua Prieta, Mexico. They are also founding members of a non-profit organization called Re-Member, which provides supplies and work groups to aid the Pine Ridge Oglala Indian Reservation in Pine Ridge, SD.
